Leveling up and what does it mean?
Leveling up in simple terms means to improve your current situation in a way that feels like a powerful life shift. Generally it starts with shifting your thoughts, perspective, or mindset. Then, it is followed with action driven by your own personal passions.
Generally, we go through several stages before we are ready to make a change so if you are contemplating leveling up, and need help deciding how, consider looking at the following areas in your life:
Career: Are you happy with what you do, what brings your life meaning, what is your passion?
Health & well being: Are you eating well, getting enough sleep, and exercising? Are you on target for your wellness goals?
Relationships: Do you feel adequately connected? Where are you vs where you desire to be?
Spirituality: Are you mindful in your daily activities? Are you connected to yourself and to Source?
Life Enrichment: Do you continue to learn and grow, try new things, and incorporate downtime?
Financial: Are you budgeting appropriately for how you had hoped and or planned and saving for emergencies?
Mental/Emotional: Do you regulate and process emotions? Do you feel you have a positive mindset?
Becoming Our Personal Best
Take the time to ask yourself which of the above areas may feel out of balance and may need more attention in order take you to the next level of personal development. Ask yourself what it is that is stopping you from achieving your goals and trying new things that would help you accomplish them. Ask yourself how your life would improve if you did level up. And finally, visualize your life as if you have already leveled up and achieved your goals. Visualize every detail exactly as you desire it to be. THAT is the life you deserve and it is all possible.
I believe we constantly need to take inventory. We need to look at each area of our life and see where we need to pay a little extra attention. The sky is the limit on our potential when we set our mind on what we want, work hard & persevere. There is always room to grow and improve. Life is a journey and it is not linear. Sometimes we have to double back and make adjustments and it is all good. We are our own biggest advocate but also our own biggest critic. Be gentle and self accepting while still pushing your own limit and know that very few people can accomplish their dreams alone. “It takes a Village” is a common saying and good support is important. A coach or mentor can help hold you accountable, encourage you to find tenacity where you did not think possible and level up faster than you dreamed. You are worthy of your aspirations and full of unlimited potential.

So whether you want to level up in your professional life, personal life, spiritual, social, financial, physical or emotional wellbeing making a commitment to yourself is the greatest way to improve your life. Life constantly changes and we need to stay flexible and grow with those changes. Each challenge that we come across is an opportunity to strengthen and grow, to learn, and to become a better person. Each person we meet is in our lives for a reason. Embrace each day both the good and the bad. Say yes to new opportunities and step out of your comfort zone. My Yoga Teacher Training was the start of my leveling up. It was both a spiritual and physical shift for me. It did not take long until those shifts led me to build my self confidence and I started to level up in other areas of my life. Some shifts are harder and scarier than others, but those are often the ones we need and deserve to make the most in order to get to better parts of our lives. I know that when I divorced it was the absolute scariest thing I have ever done. The thought of raising two children alone and supporting myself terrified me let alone taking care of my house. But now that I am a couple years in, I love my new found independence. I am super proud of all that I have accomplished and I am finally living my authentic life. ( *And both children are also doing well emotionally) I can tell you with great certainty that once you do take that leap of faith and find the courage to overcome your fears the Universe listens and rewards you with all your greatest desires. I still go back and evaluate and level up-it is a constant life long project. But I am enjoying it and I appreciate you all being part of my world. I am 44 years old am so excited to really start living the life I love. It is NEVER too late. You are the author of your life. If you do not like how it is going write a new chapter, add or delete characters and yell plot twist. I hope you are inspired to level up in your life today and dream really really big!
