When you feel lost, or need answers, follow your internal compass to find your True North
Your internal compass is your true essence, your all-powerful, loving, creative, limitless self that is connected to the infinite part of your soul, or the divine within. Your soul is not limited by fear, doubt, or anxiety. It is driven by unlimited potential knowing that each of us is born with a unique gift to contribute to the tapestry of the universe.
Only you know what is right for you
No one else knows what is best for you. You can ask for advice and seek external validation until you are blue in the face, and nothing will feel quite right because the truth is, only you know the answer. In fact, the more we seek external advice, the more clouded and cluttered our minds become and the harder it becomes to see our true path. If you are not living an authentic life because you simply want to “ keep up with the Jones’s” it will never feel quite fulfilling you.
Set a personal intention to sit with yourself in silence
Sometimes it is in the moments of silence, when we stop seeking, that the answers simply come to us. Help your soul grow through creating intention in daily habits of journaling, meditation, time alone in nature, saying positive affirmations, and being mindful. Change and positive outcomes happen from the inside out. It all begins with the inner work. If there is something you are questioning about your personal life journal it, sit with it, meditate on it. The more inner work we do and the more committed we are to turning inward and tuning out the chaos of the external world, the faster we will grow our consciousness, and the stronger our intuition will become. Answers will appear very clear to us in strange and miraculous ways. This is about what is right for you, not anyone else.
My personal story about trusting my intuition with my dad’s medical struggle
My dad passed away this past January, but before his passing his health declined quite quickly. He was, in his own right, what we considered a medical miracle with three types of cancer, having survived open heart surgery, and on the brink of diabetes not to mention legally blind. He made my mom promise she would do everything in her power to allow him to remain in their home until his death at the age of 90. When it was clear he was struggling to get out of bed on most days and needing help showering we called in the help of Hospice Care (Angels on Earth in my humble opinion).
My dad suddenly kept rubbing the back of his head and neck and grimacing in pain. Now, you should note two things. One, he was never one to complain. Two, one of his cancers had been diagnosed twelve years earlier and was called multiple myeloma, or cancer of the blood and bone. He had recently been told it was advancing fast and it is a very aggressive, very painful cancer, but he had experienced several falls that had prevented him from getting to his scheduled oncology appointments. I asked him if his neck hurt and he’d reply, “oh yeah” emphatically. I told my mom quietly I was concerned it was his Myeloma advancing and she was in complete denial, a very normal stage of grief. She was convinced and wanted to listen to his general doctor who was even telling her it was because he was spending so much time in bed and put him on a steroid for pain and inflammation. Well, that did no good. I finally offered my dad the available morphine in the smallest dose. That caused some tension between my mom and me. So, she stopped giving it to him.
Finally, after a terrible ordeal and he ended up in the hospital for several days, with no visitors due to Covid, I asked my mom to please ask the attending doctor at the hospital if this could be his Myeloma advancing. There was a moment of silence over the phone. The doctor could not have been more kind or compassionate with my mom. She said, “Yes, that is exactly what is happening. It is time to get him back home and back into Hospice Care. No more food or water.” We knew it would not be long. But that was by far the most tuned into my intuition I have ever been. I simply knew, even before the doctors. He was able to pass peacefully at home in a matter of days surrounded by his wife and three children the way he always wanted.
I feel completely at peace and also empowered after my yoga practice. I trust myself completely which has led to a life of contentment and joy.
You are the Divine creator and master of your life
No matter what your religious or spiritual belief, or non-beliefs are, what is most important to realize is that YOU are the divine creator and master of your life. You are in charge and have been in charge all along. Everything you need to succeed you have within. It is up to you to harness and use those gifts and find your strengths. Your intuition is somewhat like a spirit guide whispering the way, trust it, follow it. It will not lead you astray.
Once we stop asking others questions, and looking for answers and approval on the outside, we begin to value our own space. We stop using negative self-talk and even negative words and tones altogether. Our spirit begins to shift to a lighter place where we feel contentment. We stop defining life as difficult because we realize we create our own reality, and it does not need to be that way. Things start to flow easily to us because we are now in a higher positive vibration. This is the upward spiral my friends. This is how you enter the 5th Dimension of reality where you are one with the Divine and with all sentient beings. It all starts with turning your attention inward. This is where all things truly are possible.
Peacefully Yours,
Libby
